Today, Writer Ed Brubaker announced that there will be a new Captain America unveiled in issue #34 of Captain America. Marvel isn't telling who will be the next Cap, but they've been adamant about how there must be a new one. They did say, however, that it won't be Steve Rogers. According to Marvel, Steve Rogers is dead and will stay that way.Issue #34 will be out in January 2008. To check out Marvels official announcement, click here.
Painter Alex Ross, who very recently made his return to Marvel Comics, will be in charge of crating the look and design of the new Captain America's uniform.
